Erica

Erica is a brand new interactive experience recently released on PS4 and PlayLink. We were responsible for the branding, art direction and launch campaign videos leading up to the reveal at Paris Games Week and subsequent release.

Concept

Trying to encapsulate the overall vision of Erica, we began collating moodboards that best surmised the key themes as well as potential art direction. The tone and setting of the game was that of a mysterious anachronistic criminal underworld. The player guides our lead charact (Erica) through this world as she slowly uncovers the mystery of her father's murder, and her role in all of this.

Logo development

Initial type studies into what would offer the best fit for Erica included serifs, san serifs and the eventual selection of Siena Thin. This evoked the sense of class and refinement that would work well in contrast to the disorted effects incorporated in the treatment.

After refining the chosen typographic route, we experimented with different methods in creating the transformative and affected type that suits the nature of Erica's storyline.
